After many years of showing racing and breeding Siberian Husky's, I now have whippets. Whippets have a beautiful temperament and I love having them around me, they are my family.

They generally spend a lot of time inside, they enjoy the sunshine on a nice day, except for rainy days, too hot, too cold, too windy. If your after an outside dog don't buy a whippet.

Like most breeds, whippets have lots of energy as puppies, but then they hit a point where they become couch potatoes, until a lead is picked up or the mention of going for a walk and they are suddenly wide awake and ready to go.

I am hoping to have puppies in the not to distant future, you may contact me for information.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Whippets are a sound and healthy breed and fortunately for our breed no testing is required.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

Puppies have many visits from family and friends, lots of toys to play with and a large backyard to explore.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

A dogs Victoria sales agreement stating that this puppy is not for breeding or export. And an agreement that Desexing will be done at the appropriate time.

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

After phone conversation I then ask you to come and visit the puppies, once I meet you I then make the decision on whether or not you will give a puppy a good home.
